What we stand for:

We call for an end to the criminal wars on the peoples of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq and demand nothing less than the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of all occupation forces and the closing of all military bases. We call for an end to the blockade of Gaza, an end to the occupation of Palestine, and an end to U.S. aid to Israel. We call for the redirection of resources to further justice, equality, and human needs here at home, not death and misery.

How we do our work:

Stop the Wars Coalition has based itself organizationally on the way the coalitions for the March 20, 2005, October 29th, 2005, March 24th, 2007, October 27th, 2007, October 11th, 2008 and October 17th, 2009 marches and rallies in Boston were organized. These coalitions organized mass actions focused on immediate withdrawal of all U.S. forces.

* Any group or any person in agreement with this objective is welcome to participate fully in STWC.
* Decision-making meetings are open and widely publicized.
* Democratic procedure is followed. Efforts are made to reach consensus, but votes are often taken.
* Outreach includes inviting groups to present their own slogans in building events, inviting groups to express their concerns from the speaker's platform, endorsing actions initiated by other groups if we agree with the demands and message, and inviting groups to announce and publicize their own separate actions through the coalition structure.
* Demands relevant to the antiwar struggle are voted on and adopted.
* STWC has sought to promote unity, non-exclusion, debate, and transparency in the antiwar movement.
